CWS–boco accepts the red dot product design award
Washroom dispenser line CWS ParadiseLine awarded prize for outstanding design
Duisburg, 1 July 2009. On 29 June, the renowned design prize “red dot award” was awarded in Essen, Germany. CWS-boco is one
of this year’s red dot winners in the category “product design”. The company, specialised in washroom hygiene solutions and
textile services, accepted the coveted prize for their washroom dispenser line CWS ParadiseLine. The innovative product line
with towel, soap and fragrance dispensers convinced the prominent jury members through its exceptional, sophisticated and
yet functional design. The product may now be adorned with the red dot seal of quality.
The red dot award 2009 was awarded in front of an audience of more than 1000 guests. An independent and international jury of renowned design experts stand for the quality of this prize, which is awarded annually. The jury evaluated a total of 3231 products from 49 countries according to strict criteria. Only those products, which are innovative, functional, ergonomic, built-to-last and emotionally appealing were awarded a prize.
The new CWS ParadieLine series of washroom products convinced the jury. The front covers of the dispensers are available in various classic finishes as well as in the natural looks of carbon and wood. The panels of the towel dispensers in the version “Individual” can be fitted with any desired image or text motif.
Frank Radinic, Head of Corporate Marketing & Communications, says, “This prize is a confirmation of our successful product development. CWS ParadiseLine offers individual design and a high emotional factor thanks to high-quality materials, harmonious lines and excellent functionality“.
CWS ParadiseLine was developed by CWS-boco in cooperation with the Munich-based designer Jens Pattberg of the agency brains4design. When developing the washroom product line, the team was inspired by the automobile and furniture industries. Finishes with pearl and metallic effects as well as synthetic surface finishes from the furniture industry enhance and add value to public and corporate washrooms. The carbon and wood finishes make the user think of the interior of luxury automobiles. The option of individual image and text designs allow companies to adapt the CWS ParadiseLine towel dispensers to meet their specific corporate design, or to use them as a new platform of communication and advertising.
