Session one – Retrofitting your BAS and Migrating to Open Systems: Case Studies

The purpose of this presentation is to provide two real-life case studies of larger buildings migrating away from the traditional “proprietary” BAS to a more “open” system. The intent is to show that this transition is possible, reliable, and can be cost-effective.
– The first case study is of a 1 million square foot office tower that started with the head end software and has been adding/retrofitting controllers over time.
– The second case study is of a 1.5 million square foot office tower that started with a parallel system and then migrated to one as confidence in the transition grew.
