This steel 556,000 square foot structure once housed the Nabisco cookie bakery. It has since been transformed into the John P. McGovern Campus, a multipurpose medical office building.
Although the bakery had already been through a round of renovations, the center’s chillers had aged over time and needed to be replaced. HTS was chosen specifically for this job based on our established relationship with Baylor College of Medicine.
Our goal was not only to replace the old chillers but to improve the efficiency of the system while fitting the new chillers within the prior electrical breaker and footprint on the roof.
In order to accomplish our goals, our team installed three 275-ton Daikin Applied AWV air-cooled screw chillers and completed the installation by providing necessary electrical services.
