HTS New England was chosen as the basis of design and worked closely with Fitzemeyer & Tocci for the renovation of the Richard W. Creteau Regional Technology Center in Rochester, NH. The facility has specialized in offering career and technical education programs to its students as a part of the Rochester School District for 27 years and needed a few updates to better serve students.
The goal was to provide a high-efficiency HVAC and controls system that would provide significant annual energy savings while maintaining occupant comfort. Key to the success of this project is removing antiquated pneumatic and electronic controls and installing state-of-the-art Distech IP-based controls. This open building automation system will ensure service flexibility and build a foundation for future expansion. With a quick project start, our teams worked diligently to order equipment in advance to ensure there would be no delays in the scheduled project timeline. Together with DXS and Control Technologies, we were able to select a streamlined solution that would exceed the building needs:
- 5 Daikin Rebel AHUs
- 2 Valent VPRs
- 42 tons of Daikin VRV units
- 50 Distech ECLYPSE IP-based Controllers
This 2 1/2-year multiphase renovation will include a seamless integration between the controls system and the Daikin VRV and AHU equipment. With one single point of contact between HTS, DXS, and Control Technologies, and our ability to work internally to resolve issues before they arise, this project is on track for success to be completed by January 2020.
