Raytheon chose HTS New England as the basis of design to supply their Tweksbury location with a new chiller. Considered one of the first technology startups, Raytheon has supplied defense technology since 1928.
It was critical for the Raytheon Concord Building, which is used as a research and training facility, to have an HVAC system that was cost effective, quiet, and energy efficient. HTS installed Daikin’s 55 ton Air Cooled Chiller as a solution to meet the building’s needs.
The unit came with a customized buffer tank to provide additional storage to cover peak loads, and its compact footprint saved on installation costs. Raytheon was very pleased with the project, from concept inception through operation.
