HTS was chosen as the basis of design for the Texas A&M Multipurpose Building in San Antonio, TX.
This project earned LEED Silver status and a 2nd step rebate from CPS with the installation of the highly efficient chillers from Daikin McQuay. The engineer, CNG, chose HTS because we had the most efficient chillers available. The client was looking for a quiet, cost-effective system that would provide year-round dehumidification control.
Two Daikin McQuay chillers, totaling 222.4 tons, were chosen as well as six Vision air handling units totaling 109,667 CFM. The chillers alone are estimated to save 30% on energy costs per year.
With its LEED Silver status and high-efficiency levels, this project was nominated for the LEED Building 2011 Construction Awards.
