Marquis Hall at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX required renovations to its air conditioning system in order to accommodate the UNT International Program. The original equipment, installed in 1969, was creating IAQ issues by leaving odors in the building. UNT chose HTS as the basis of design to provide a long-lasting air cleaning system to improve the air quality while reducing outside air requirements to allow a smaller OA duct to fit the tight space available in the mechanical room.
The building was fitted with a Dynamic V8 air cleaning system integrated into a custom AHU. This improved the quality of air in the building while providing the Dynamic air cleaning system that UNT prefers in campus buildings.
