HVAC Parts Represenative
Description
Objective: primary responsibility is to fulfill phone and email parts orders by procuring quotes from suppliers and quoting customers; produce purchase orders and invoices through company computer software; follow-up and troubleshoot to ensure customer satisfaction.
Must have a professional appearance, be detail oriented, provide quality customer service, and have a positive attitude.
Prior HVAC parts experience preferred but not required.
Assist in day-to-day parts operations:
- Determine and fulfill customer needs for parts through lookup and sourcing
- Complete sales for customers over the phone and via email
- Enter orders into computer system
- Process and receive returned items and stock orders and perform any other light-duty tasks as specified by the manager
- Maintain safe and secure environment by following prescribed safety regulations.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge/skills and experience:
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and parts preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in basic mathematics skills
- Perform all clerical/computer functions in the Parts Department
- Excellent phone manners and strong communication skills
- Possess good computer skills and ability to learn new programs quickly
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
- Self-motivated with a positive team-player attitude
- Enjoy challenges and interacting with a variety of people and situations
- Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
Requirements/working conditions:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Valid Social Security number
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices), carry and climb ladders
- Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas
- Observe all company procedures and safety rules
