In need of an equipment upgrade and additional capacity to meet their current cooling needs, the Oblate School of Theology was looking for an efficient and complete HVAC system. Having had positive experience with HTS Texas and Daikin McQuay in the past, the engineer, HMG - San Antonio, selected HTS' equipment as the basis of design.

A new 160 ton Daikin McQuay Pathfinder air cooled chiller with a pump package was chosen for the project. Not only did it meet the required building load, but as a high efficiency HVAC product, it qualified for a step 2 rebate from CPS. This rebate provides customers with $150 back per ton, so a total of $24,000 was rewarded for the chiller. Long-term savings will be expected as well with the high efficiency chiller in place, providing the client with additional payback.
