The Texas Health Hospital in Rockwall, Texas is a joint venture between Texas Health Resources and area physicians. Their expansion project will nearly double the size of the facilities and is set to be completed by 2022. The hospital needed a cost-effective and high-quality HVAC system that met both the engineer and owner requirements for the 90,600 square foot expansion.
Our team worked closely with the project engineers to develop valued solutions that helped them stay within the budget. HTS Texas was chosen as the basis of design for the chillers, and we provided two Daikin air-cooled AWV chillers (550 tons) to increase the system’s overall efficiency and performance. To meet the budget expectations for the necessary air handling units, we selected seven custom Haakon roof-mounted AHUs (135,000 CFM), five semi-custom Daikin roof-mounted AHUs (49,000 CFM).
DXS Texas completed this install with a full system of Daikin VRV and mini-split units (30 tons) to provide additional customized comfort for the increased building occupancy.
