HCA in Fort Worth needed highly efficient chillers in order to repurpose an existing building into a data center. The existing facility had minimal power available, and the chillers needed to be efficient enough to meet the new 1,000-ton load that was planned. In addition, HCA needed chillers with a substantial capacity turndown to allow them to start their data center small and work toward increasing its size.
HTS provided Berger Engineering with two 500-ton Daikin Magnetic Bearing Chiller units, which were able to meet both efficiency and capacity turndown needs. The lead time was also critical for this project, and the factory was able to deliver in the six-week timeframe needed to meet project schedules. HTS was able to help complete the project on time, meet all necessary requirements, and allow the data center to begin operating successfully.
