The Centre for Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship brings students an exciting work space and a modern learning experience to the University of Toronto’s St George campus. This 8-storey building includes a basement with up to 50 parking spaces, a 500-seat auditorium, Technology Enhanced Active Learning (TEAL) Rooms, and much more.
For this project, HTS used flexible Haakon units and Wrap Heat Pipes to meet the space restrictions on a compact mechanical room and the performance requirements efficiently. For the electrical and communication rooms that require year-round cooling, HTS provided a Mag Bearing Chiller during the winter and a small Aermec NRL unit during the summer. A controllable wrap was also used around the heat pipes to control the temperature while dehumidifying.
HTS supplied the following equipment:
Aermec NRL Free Cooling Chiller
Daikin Split AC System
Daikin WMC Water Cooled Frictionless Centrifugal Chiller
