HTS Texas provided an HVAC solution to Texas A&M’s University Apartments.
The 108 unit complex was experiencing low comfort levels with the existing minimal AC. HTS Texas was chosen as the basis of design to help solve the issues of space. The project needed AC equipment with zoning capability and that was small enough to fit the space, which didn’t have much room for ductwork or condensing units.
108 Daikin multi-splits were installed. These units gave each apartment two independent zones with a single condensing unit. The variable speed compressor provides consistent temperature control, thus improving comfort for the occupants.
This entire installation was completed over a summer. The contractor was able to schedule the delivery of the equipment as the building proceeded through a multi-building renovation project. With precise delivery times set up, HTS helped improve installation efficiency and decreased chances for product theft on the jobsite.
