St. Raphael is a Catholic Elementary School located in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. The Owner and the Design Engineer were looking to incorporate a high efficiency energy recovery unit suitable for the Northern Ontario Climate, where temperatures can reach -40F.
HTS recommended Dual Core Energy Recovery technology to meet the required low ambient operating conditions without the loss of efficiency. A TEMPEFF Dual Core Energy Recovery unit complete with fans and custom reheat coil was supplied. This unit fulfilled the project requirements yielding a temperature efficiency of 87.2% in the winter and 72.5% efficiency in the summer.
