Role Description:

In this role, you will act as a team leader, providing direction, site coordination support, and creative problem resolution for internal and external customers. You will oversee the day-to-day activities of a field-based service portfolio, driving team productivity and balancing the team’s financial goals while ensuring customer satisfaction. You will be developing and training employees, with responsibility for assigning team action items, driving operational excellence through established work cadence and communication, and ensuring all work is performed to the highest standard.

Responsibilities:

  • As an HTS Service Manager, all forms of communication should be a skillful and personal interaction effective at achieving desired results
  • Set and monitor goals for overall team growth and profitability
  • Lead the efforts of the service team to ensure productivity, consistency, and quality
  • Develop and manage customer relationships through issue resolution and communication
  • Work with direct reports and project leads to create effective staff training and development plans
  • Take responsibility for safety performance and program compliance
  • Drive labor and material growth
  • Manage to grow maintenance agreement expansion for your service team
  • Meet with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention as well as prospects for additional service opportunities
  • Supervise and direct field technicians to effectively perform the functions of equipment repair, maintenance, start-up, operation, and other duties as required to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Review work orders, invoices and time reports for accuracy and to ensure efficient management of accounts
  • Be accountable for communication within the organization as well as with vendors, suppliers, customers, contractors, and operators
  • Customer satisfaction is a high priority
  • Assist HVAC service technicians with troubleshooting
  • Perform job visits as required

Qualifications:

  • Whether working independently or as part of a team, you take ownership of issues and take pride in providing solutions. You are comfortable handling a large and diverse volume of tasks with tact, cooperation, and persistence. Your proven organizational and time management skills mean you are able to regroup as priorities and objectives change.
  • 5 years related HVAC experience managing a team with financial objectives, plus 1-2 years supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and building automation controls
  • Experience in managing a P&L, forecasting, utilization of metrics, costing principals, and contracting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills in a Microsoft Office platform
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
