HTS Chicago Helps Northwestern University Win ENERGY STAR Award

This year, Northwestern University received the ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Award for its efforts to reduce campus energy consumption and educate students, faculty, staff and the broader community about energy efficiency. Equipment provided by HTS Chicago, including lab controls and Aircuity systems for multiple research spaces including the Robert Lurie, Tarry, and Ford buildings, and more, contributed to a significant portion of overall energy savings for the campus. These efforts by Northwestern to increase energy efficiency are part of the University’s Strategic Sustainability Plan, which aims to reduce energy consumption 20 percent by 2020, and achieve net zero greenhouse emissions by 2050.
