Hood-Case Elementary, which opened in 1997, was due for a chiller overhaul. A TEA Exemplary and TBEC/JFTK Honor Roll campus, awarded to only the top 54 elementary schools in Texas, required quiet chillers to minimize the disturbance to their teachers and students. To fulfill this requirement, HTS supplied two-150 Ton Daikin Magnitude Magnetic Bearing Chillers, which are known for their low sound levels, small footprint and high efficiency ratings.
