The Brockville General Hospital was originally built in 1989. The hospital has significantly grown since opening, and is currently undergoing the Hospital’s Phase 2 Redevelopment Project. This is an effort to consolidate all inpatient programs and services, including those offered at the Garden Street site, under one roof.

After 30 years of service, the unit was replaced with a new Haakon Air Handling Unit built using the original hand-drawn drawings from 1993. The new unit meets today’s efficiency standards, and its modernization meets the building’s current standards.
