Burkevale is the only school of the Protestant Separate School Board of the Town of Penetanguishene. The school’s original two-storey building was built in 1882, and a later addition was added in 1909-1910. In 1965, the original structures were demolished and it was re-built to become the building we now have today. In 2016, $3.5 million was received from the Ontario government for renovations and construction on the school.
