HTS New England was chosen as the basis of design for the new construction of Caleb Dustin Hunking School. Located in Haverhill, Massachusetts, the 148,000 square-foot building needed an HVAC system that was both energy efficient and quiet, to not disturb students during class time.
The construction for Caleb Dustin Hunking began on the ball fields behind the old school. During that time, HTS New England provided ten Valent rooftop units, ranging from 1,300 CFM to 15,450 CFM. Seven of the installed rooftop units included high efficiency and low sound energy recovery wheels. One Technical Systems 15 ton custom air-cooled Chiller was installed as well.
The cost effective and energy efficient HVAC system helped qualify the new school as LEED Silver Certified.
