HTS was chosen for this project to provide a quiet, efficient HVAC system for the new school, which serves pre-school through second grade students. To stay within the school’s tight budget, two different packaged rooftop units were selected: one 20 ton Daikin Maverick II unit to efficiently cool the large gym, and one 42 ton Daikin Roofpak equipped with an energy recovery wheel for utility savings, which delivers outdoor air to the space.
To deliver this same level of comfort to the classrooms, two 26 ton Daikin VRV Heat Recovery units and a total of 32 ducted and cassette FCUs were installed. Their light, modular design makes for easy installation and maintenance and was the most cost-effective, efficient choice for climate control in multiple zones.
