e-MDs’ 200,000 square-foot building was in need of a new HVAC system as the old one was not providing enough cooling capacity for the growing facility. HTS Texas was chosen for its price, efficiency, and the quality of products it offers to its clients.
The client wanted the new system to be more energy efficient than the old one and to provide the company with long-term cost savings and benefits. Since this was a replacement project, the unit chosen had to be of similar or smaller size to the existing chiller. A 400 Ton Daikin Magnitude™oil-free water-cooled chiller met both the client’s size restrictions and overall HVAC goals. For the use of an energy-efficient system, Austin Energy offered a rebate on the frictionless chiller. With this, e-MDs saved money up-front and can also expect a pay-back in terms of the cost-effectiveness of the unit in the long run.
