HTS New England equipped the renovation of Federal Furnace Elementary School with an upgrade HVAC system. The outdated HVAC system could not heat or cool larger spaces within the building, such as the library/media center, without overheating or overcooling smaller spaces, such as individual classrooms. The loud sound levels of the original HVAC system was also of concern to the school.
To provide a flexible, quiet, and energy efficient system, HTS provided energy-recovery rooftop units, maintaining the same dimensions with modified curbs. As basis of design, HTS supplied Innovent DX Energy Recovery Units, constructed of all-aluminum for maximum longevity. The updated HVAC system will ensure the 418 students attending Federal Furnace Elementary receive the highest air quality, with low sound levels and maximum energy efficient.
