The Hamilton-Wentworth District school board needed more administration space and decided to build a new facility to accommodate their growing organization. The new education facility is a corner stone of the board, allowing all facilities and admin staff the proper space and resources to efficiently keep the school board running. The board decided to use a hydronic central air handling design for this building to improve efficiency and reliability while prolonging the equipment life and improving the ease and reducing the cost of maintenance.
Equipment installed:
- 10 Haakon air handling units, Airpack, size 7,500 to 8,000CFM
- Dristeem gas-fired humidifiers
- 1 Daikin air cooled energy efficient chiller, Model AWS, size 265 tons
- Sigma hydronic heating
- Bell & Gossett pumps
