Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio required renovations on two floors of the facility, and needed a cost effective air conditioning system that would provide year-round humidity control. HTS was chosen as the basis of design based on design build capabilities, and provided EZ Mechanical with several pieces of equipment to create an energy efficient system that helped earn the facility a LEED Silver certification. The system included a 25-ton Daikin AGZ Chiller, a 40-ton Daikin Vision Air Handling Unit, four Daikin Unit Heaters and two 15-ton Daikin Rebel Rooftop Units for humidity control. HTS also installed a Distech Controls system on the chillers, boilers, and VAV units, which was integrated into the front end of the Building Automation System.
