With the growing population of Kitchener and Waterloo there was increased demand for more health care services. Boardwalk Medical Offices were built with the best of heat pump technology to minimize energy usage while delivering comfortable conditions to the tenants and patients. Custom air handling was required on some floors to meet the requirements of CSA Z317 health care codes but all custom air handlers are also tied into the heat pump loop with VRF water cooled systems.
HTS worked closely with the design team to provide energy efficient equipment and solutions to help the team achieve their success. Daikin low noise and high efficiency heat pump systems were chosen as key design elements for the HVAC system.
