HTS Texas provided the NASA Space Science Data Center Building 26 with an updated, energy-efficient HVAC system to replace its aging units.
The previous system in the center was functioning poorly, requiring costly maintenance, and highly inefficient. HTS was able to improve the efficiency so much that the building earned LEED Silver status. With the installation of the new equipment, the building is projected to extend its life 25-40 years.
Three Daikin McQuay semi-custom air handling units with Danfoss VFDs were installed, totaling 15,710 CFM, plus one ETI fan coil unit.
