New York Presbyterian, the Children’s Hospital of New York (CHONY) is the nation’s first hospital for children with unique designs that keep in mind the needs of children and their families. The 268,000 square-foot hospital features rooms with family function zones and decentralized Child Life suites with an estimated 200 pediatric beds. CHONY is also equipped with a fully functional Pediatric Trauma emergency department, an independent clinical and radiologic infrastructure, and eight operating suites.
HTS New York was chosen to work on this project based on product selection, efficiency, quality and service. Three custom Haakon Air Handling Units were installed in order to reduce the amount of energy used while working to improve indoor air quality.
