Northside ISD needed an RTU replacement for Hobby Middle School and our team was up to the task. The old RTUs were no longer performing and were replaced with Daikin Rebel and Daikin Maverick II RTUs. We were basis of design because of our close relationship with the engineer and the proven performance that Daikin consistently provides. The main goal was to provide the teachers at this school with reliable air conditioning so that they could focus on educating in a consistent indoor environment.
One of the RTUs was delayed during production, which led to our team having to acquire a rental packaged unit to serve the space until the final RTU was delivered. It was anticipated that the rental unit was going to be needed for approximately 3 months. Despite this setback, Daikin was able to come through and there was only a 1 month usage of the rental unit. The owner did not see a gap in performance.
Our San Antonio technicians stepped up and worked overtime when needed to make sure these packaged units were started up and ready for the school year due to the extremely tight window we had prior to school starting back up.
