Point Beach Nuclear Plant

The goal was to replace the existing cooling units in order to uprate the isophase bus duct in their nuclear power plant. HTS Texas, because of the flexibility of its custom air handling units, was able to fit two units in their extremely tight existing space while still providing the cooling capacity that was required. HTS Texas also provided coils made with specialty Sea Cure material in the units to extend the life of the coils in the nuclear environment. In addition, HTS was required to provide redundant systems. Each of the custom air handling units consists of two independent cooling systems
