HTS New England equipped the new construction of Quinsigamond Community College’s science building with a custom HVAC system. Dubbed the “QuEST Building,” the 30,000 square-foot facility houses the engineering, science, and technology programs with facilities ranging from industrial robotics labs to pharmaceutical testing labs.
The new air handling system services sensitive laboratory areas, and needed a highly customizable unit suitable for such conditions. As basis of design, HTS provided a custom Haakon Energy Recovery Lab Air Handling Unit, which has a unique strategy of recovering energy from the laboratory exhaust system. The unit’s flexibility and energy efficiency will ensure the QuEST Building’s state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities are serviced by the highest quality air conditioning solution.
