Rouge Valley Community Recreation Centre required a high-performance HVAC solution capable of meeting the City’s net zero objectives while supporting the unique demands of an aquatic facility. Equipment was carefully selected to prioritize energy efficiency and low carbon intensity, with air source heat pumps providing the majority of the building’s heating and cooling requirements.
Tempeff Energy Recovery Ventilators were chosen for their ultra-high energy recovery efficiency, helping reduce the size of the central plant, while DualSun Hybrid PVT Solar Panels were incorporated to generate both thermal energy and electricity. Together, these systems contribute to the City’s first certified net zero aquatic facility by supporting efficient, low-carbon building operation.
