Funded by an energy grant, the San Antonio International Relations Office, located in downtown San Antonio, underwent renovations to improve its energy use. The office is San Antonio’s front door to the world as it is in charge of hosting international dignitaries, works to attract global trade and foreign investments, and maintains relationships with San Antonio’s international sister cities.
HTS was chosen as the basis of design as it provided the best plan and option to reduce energy. The owner wanted a cost-effective system that would provide energy savings and year-round dehumidification control. HTS found the solution by providing 2 Daikin Magnitude Magnetic Bearing Water Cooled Chillers totaling 500 tons. These highly efficient chillers have been proven to provide significant payback for facilities and greatly reduce energy consumption.
