This renovation of CFISD Sheridan Elementary School’s 84,000-square-foot building required new chillers and AHUs to fit the existing plant footprint. Because of the space restrictions, HTS Texas was chosen as the basis of design thanks to our Daikin Applied water cooled magnetic bearing centrifugal (WMC) chillers and easy-to-size Daikin Applied modular air handling units (AHUs).
CFISD also received proven reliability, quieter operation, and the lowest cost of ownership due to the efficiency of our chillers. Our team was able to replace the existing AHUs without needing to tear down any building walls and swap out the chillers with Daikin’s reliable WMC chillers.
Additionally, our team installed 16 Danfoss variable frequency drives (VFDs) along with nine Daikin Vision indoor air handling units for even better indoor air quality, low sound, and high operating efficiency.
