HTS New England was selected to renovate the Sidney Research Campus Erie Street HVAC system. The 340,000 square foot, three building complex houses a variety of biotech tenants occupying the lab and office spaces.
HTS installed two Haakon Air Handling Units with AcoustiFlo fan arrays to improve energy efficiency, and Variable Frequency Drive Control Panels for easy monitoring and maintenance of the system. One Haakon Exhaust Air Handling Unit was also installed, using Plasticair high plume dilution fans and nozzles, which have integral silencers to reduce noise. The fans were mounted on top of the exhaust units to reduce the overall footprint of the system.
Together, the custom units provide a quiet operation and long life expectancy, while resulting in long-term savings for the owner. The custom HVAC system will provide continuous premium efficiency for the entire building.
