The Union Station is among North America’s busiest transportation hubs since 1927 serving over 300,000 passengers per day on average. In 1975, it was deemed one of Canada’s National Historic Sites as it is one of the country’s few classical beaux-arts railway stations. The station’s revitalization includes more entrances and exits, a larger transit concourse, PATH connection extensions, and upgraded retail stores.
HTS installed over 100 Haakon units and completed two phases of renovations of the station. The Haakon units were knocked down to meet stringent entrance requirements and were built up on-site all while meeting factory field requirements.
HTS supplied the following equipment:
- Daikin Thinline Horizontal Fan Coils
- IEC Fan Coils
- Haakon Hydronic Air Handler
- Sigma Force Flow Cabinet Heater
- Runtal Radiators
