The University of Ottawa Heart Institute required a high-efficiency rooftop HVAC solution that provided both heating and cooling while minimizing environmental impact. HTS supplied a Haakon Rooftop Unit integrated with a Daikin Commercial Condensing unit, selected for its advanced heat pump application and AHU integration kit. The system enhances energy efficiency through free-cooling mode, reducing power consumption for air conditioning. Additionally, the unit relies on electricity rather than natural gas, using a heat pump system or electric backup heater, supporting decarbonization efforts and improving heating and cooling redundancy.
HTS supplied the following equipment:
- 1x Haakon Rooftop Unit with external Daikin VRV Condensing Unit.
