HTS New England provided the construction of the University of Vermont’s STEM Complex with a custom air handling solution. As basis of design, HTS equipped the building with 250,000 CFM of custom Haakon Air Handling Units, including steel catwalks around the units for field-servicing abilities. The energy efficient units will help qualify the building as LEED certified.
The complex is comprised of three interconnected buildings housing the chemistry, physics, engineering, mathematics, and computer science programs. Inside are 20 state-of-the-art teaching laboratories, which are serviced by the Haakon Air Handling Units. The buildings’ new HVAC system will ensure the highest of air quality at an energy efficient rate.
