The Waterloo Regional Police Central Division required an HVAC solution designed to deliver reliable performance, year-round comfort, and long-term energy efficiency. Haakon Air Handling Units were selected as the basis of design for their quality construction, flexibility, and ability to meet the specific demands of the facility.
Aermec Free Cooling Chillers were incorporated to provide cooling during winter months without the need for compressors, utilizing a secondary glycol coil to reject heat and significantly reduce operating costs. Additional systems, including Dristeem Humidifiers with an RO System to improve indoor air quality, Stultz Computer Room Air Conditioning units for server and data spaces, and Sigma hot water heating, worked together to ensure performance and redundancy throughout the building.
