Mark LaFrance joins the HTS New England leadership group after spending six years with the company as a sales engineer.

“Throughout his time at HTS, Mark has shown his commitment and dedication to the company, his co-workers, and our clients,” said Peter Foss, HTS New England principal. “He has the passion and leadership skills necessary to take on the role of principal, and I am excited to see how Mark and HTS New England grow together in the future.”

Mark LaFrance holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of New Hampshire. Prior to joining HTS in 2012, he worked as a design engineer and test engineer in the renewable energy industry. It was during this time that Mark also completed the coursework for his M.S. in mechanical engineering. As a sales engineer at HTS, Mark worked with contractors, engineers, and building owners, allowing him to understand the needs of the broad range of clients HTS New England serves. As an active member of ASHRAE since 2012, Mark is constantly striving to build upon his equipment and industry knowledge.

“I look forward to helping HTS New England continue to develop as a one-stop shop for HVAC equipment solutions,” LaFrance said. “HTS is founded on some excellent core values and I am truly proud to represent them as a leader of the company.”

In recent years, HTS New England has experienced significant growth, along with the HVAC needs of the regional market. Following a merger with Stebbins-Duffy in 2016, HTS New England’s regional staff grew to more than three times its previous size. This led to a relocation of the company’s Peabody office to a larger facility featuring 8,000 square feet of warehouse and stocking space for an expanded parts and aftermarket department, and an agreement to represent Distech Controls and provide state-of-the-art building automation for HVAC systems.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to help lead HTS New England, especially as we continue through this exciting time of growth,” LaFrance said. “I will be leading the effort of expanding our staff. It is my goal to help HTS evolve into an even larger and more successful organization, for the benefit of our customers and our staff.”

HTS New England provides a full range of specialized departments focused on equipment, building automation systems, parts, and service. This allows the company to serve architects, engineers, contractors, building owners, and facilities maintenance teams by providing support for HVAC systems from selection and installation through ongoing product maintenance. In coming years, HTS New England aims to continue setting new standards for advanced HVAC equipment offerings, product expertise, and client services.
