Fanshawe College, which is a college of applied arts and technology in London, Ontario, is undergoing a major renovation that promises to make it one of the most advanced transportation training centers in Canada, accommodating 1,500 full-time students.
The $31-million project will add 148,000 square feet of space, including 13 labs, 16 classrooms and seven shops that are equipped to simulate real world scenarios in trades and technologies. The renovations will feature a wide range of environmental construction techniques, including a green roof system over shop areas and solar hot water heating. HTS Ontario was chosen as the supplier of HVAC equipment for the new facilities.
